Hearts

Arriving and leaving.
Lots and lots of hearts.
Appearing all over the place.
I signed up for 2, yep 2 Valentine swaps.  One is the Initial Heart swap organised by Cheryll of Gone Stitchin, the other is by Sandy of Cookies & Cream Craft.  And I am happy to say I am just about done with both and they will be mailed by the end of the week.  Wonder if I can keep this up all year.

This is what I was making while I was waiting for partner details.  Pattern is here.  Really easy and very quick to crochet.  Crochet and knitting are just a couple of the things I am going to get back into this year.

This is pile of some of stuff, some or all or maybe none of it was used for both swaps.  I'm not silly enough to post real pics here because I dont want to spoil the surprise.

I must be one of the first to have received my Initial heart swap gift.  It arrived on Friday and I had to check with Cheryll to see if it was from my swap partner because the return address is from the same town my parents live in and it was all a bit coincidental.  It is still wrapped up securely and put away so that I will stop squeezing and poking and trying to guess without breaking anything inside.

So it took me months to get my head clear after coming to terms with my health, then the end of a  work contract and Christmas followed.  They are now filed under history, although Christmas was really good the rest not so much.
This year is all mine to do with as I please and this is just what I am going to do.  The only promises are the swaps I sign up for.  No more pressure to get stuff finished each month etc.  Oh that in itself feels so liberating.  What I want, when I want, using up what I have.  You will see all sorts of stuff appearing here.  New to me stuff and old loves reappearing.  I am excited.
Have fun doing what ever you are doing.  I know I am.
